Building London’s canopy cover takes more than just planting trees. It takes care, commitment and nurturing. The aftercare of trees is essential to the success of a naturalization project, as trees need support during their first few years. ReForest London helps ensure tree survival by revisiting planting sites each year from June to October.

How can I get involved?
If you want to learn more, gain experience with tree care and help trees thrive, then aftercare is right for you!
No experience or training is required to attend an aftercare event. We’ll teach you everything you need to know at the beginning of the event, and our staff and Tree Specialists will provide guidance to volunteers as needed.
As an Aftercare Volunteer, you will help trees grow and thrive by removing weeds from around their root zone, adding fresh mulch, performing tree collar checks, adding deer/rabbit repellent, and more.
What to Expect
Aftercare events typically run for 1.5 – 2 hours, with the majority of Aftercare events taking place over the summertime. Just like plants, people need water — so make sure to bring some!
