Volunteer Spotlight April 2015 - All ReForest London Volunteers!

This week is National Volunteer Week, and we want to celebrate all our volunteers for their hard work over the year. For this month's Volunteer Spotlight we want to thank ALL our amazing volunteers, your support is over-elming!

We appreciate all the work you do, a special thank you to all our volunteers including our Board and Committee Members, Tree Planters and Aftercare Attendants, Office Assistants, Tree Gurus, Community Liaisons, Neighbourhood Tree Captains, Web Reporters, Graphic Designers, Tree Mascots and special task driven volunteers.

This past year, over 3,500 volunteers contributed over 5,000 hours to our programs, helping make London a greener and healthier community. Bringing the forest back to the Forest City is a goal that all of ReForest London’s volunteers hold in high esteem and we thank you for that. Every spring and fall, hundreds of ReForest London volunteers come out to assist with plantings, outreach, tree sales and seedling giveaways. In 2014, our volunteers planted over 6,500 trees across the City. ReForest London saw an increase in the amount of volunteers committing to be Tree Gurus, Community Liaisons and Neighbourhood Tree Captains. If you're interested in getting more training for volunteer opportunities, check out our training page to sign up.

We thank you for contributing in your own way and capacity, together we will reforest the Forest City.

Check out the London Free Press this week for the National Volunteer Week supplement, which features volunteers from non-profits across London.
