On September 25th we celebrated National Tree Day in a big way. With support from the City of London, we hosted four tree depot events in one day!
Working from morning until dusk, we provided Londoners with nearly 2000 native trees.
National Tree Day is ReForest London’s favourite annual holiday, but the joy on the faces of everyone who received a free tree showed that we weren’t the only ones who were happy!
These tree depots were offered as part of the larger celebration of National Forests Week. Our goal with these celebrations each year is to share the love of trees with the community.
Thank you to the City of London’s Tree Me Tree Matching Fund for funding three tree depot events this day, and to STIHL for funding the other. Your support has helped to make a big impact.
We can’t wait to see those 2000 trees helping to expand London’s urban forest in the years to come!
