Frequently Asked Questions

When it comes to volunteering, it can be hard to know where to start. Here are some frequently asked questions to help you find your roots!

Q: Can I get my high school 40 hours of volunteering with ReForest london?

A: Yes, absolutely! You can bring your official sheet and the staff leading the event can sign it. In the event that you forget to bring your sheet to an event, just sign our sign-in sheet and we will track all your hours in our database. That way, we can confirm the total hours that you completed with us when you need it.

Q: How can youth get involved?

A: A great way to start volunteering with us is at our park plantings or aftercare events. They are great because they are drop-in public events, with no registration required. You just show up and sign in when you arrive. No experience is necessary, as we explain what to do. From there, it is easy to sign up to more advanced volunteer roles.

Q: What are the volunteer roles?

A: All our volunteer roles are described here.

Q: What are the dates of your events?

A: Our spring dates are announced in April, summer dates are announced in June, and fall dates are announced in August. To find the dates of events, click on Volunteer, and click on the type of event on the left sidebar.

A: ReForest London has accepted co-op students from high schools, colleges and universities, adult learning and employee placement institutions for both short term (2 weeks) and long term (3-4 month) co-ops. Need a co-op placement and love trees? Contact us!
