On October 4th the rain may have been falling but spirits were high as volunteers gathered to plant trees with us! We were joined by Old Oak Properties, a Silver Million Tree Challenge Sponsor, who provided treats and hot chocolate for chilly volunteers to share. We added 226 native trees and shrubs to this park. These plants will help prevent erosion on the hillside, improve air quality, improve and increase wildlife habitat, and increase the overall enjoyment of the park!
After October 4th we still had some more trees to get in the ground, to help up complete this 4EST Brewery graciously came out on the morning of Saturday, November 7th. 4EST Brewery is a local London brewery with an emphasis on traditional beers and protecting London’s environment. They donate 4% of each beer sale to ReForest London! Their products can be found at Toboggan Brewing Company.
A huge thank you goes out to every volunteer, we would not be able to get so many trees in the ground without your help! Another shout out to the wonderful 4EST Brewery for their continued support and for helping complete this park planting!
