Tree Planter

With your help, ReForest London will leave a legacy of trees

Each spring and fall, ReForest London hosts public tree planting events that join members of the London community together. We invite Londoners of all ages and abilities to help us plant trees during these three hour events. Come rain or come shine. Equipment is provided, but if you have your own shovel, please bring it. Corporations are invited to sponsor events for their employees and other Londoners.

If your group is larger than 10 people, please complete our group application form to register your group. 

Responsibilities

  • Digging holes 
  • Planting trees and shrubs 
  • Carrying soil enhancements and mulch 
  • Staking trees 
  • Removing invasive species

Time Commitment 
Events are typically 2-3 hours on the weekends throughout Fall and Spring.

Training
No training or registration is required. We teach you how to plant a tree at the start of every planting event, so please arrive on time.

Experience
No previous experience required.

Skills
No skills required.

Other Requirements

  • Must be physically capable (able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds) 
  • Must be able to shovel 
  • Must be able to work in dirty conditions

Drop-ins are welcome at any of our planting events. However, if you wish to be notified of events in advance, please fill out our volunteer application form and indicate “Tree Planter” as area of interest.
