Projects - Park Naturalization

Stoney Creek Baptist Church is certainly looking leafier after our planting event with over 60 hardworking volunteers!

We cannot believe that we planted 200 native trees and shrubs in just over an hour! Thank you to our amazing volunteers from Enbridge and the local neighbourhood!

Spring finally arrived! What an absolutely perfect day for planting with almost 70 eager volunteers!

What better way to spend Earth Day 2018 than with a group of your colleagues, outside in the warm sun, planting trees?!

It was cold!  But our tireless team of volunteers stepped up to the task to expand the existing woodland at Crestwood Woods in Byron!

The perfect planting day was upon us!  Thank you to everyone in the neighbourhood for making this such a successful (and speedy!) event!

Our friends from IKEA joined us on a hot, summer, weekday afternoon an d helped transform this Hyde Park neighbourhood park!

Volunteers from London Life joined us on June 2nd to add 270 native trees and shrubs to expand the existing woodland at Sovereign Woods for their 10th annual planting!

Our first planting of fall 2018 went off without a hitch!  Over 120 volunteers came out to spend their beautiful Saturday planting 450 trees in this Byron park as a part of the official CN Ecoconnexions kick-off with Tree Canada!

We had some abnormal summer weather for both of these planting events, but our volunteers worked hard and got the job done!  Thank you to our neighbourhood volunteers and Stantec for joining us to completely transform this site!

A huge thank you to the City of London for supporting this project at a newly finished stormwater management pond in Lambeth!  We spent a wonderful weekday evening with members of the community to help transform this newly constructed pond!

It was a hot one!  Our amazing volunteers from Fairstone Financial joined us for a morning of sunshine to add new trees and shrubs to this park in the North West end of the city!

We worked over the course of two separate days to add over 250 native trees and shrubs to the banks of a stormwater mangement pond in the north west end of the City!

We were joined by superstar volunteers from the Western University Community as well as Sir Arthur Currie Public School at the end of September to expand some existing forest cover in Thames Park!  Be sur to drop by and see the new trees added around the playgrounds!

Yet another beautiful afternoon to plant trees!  We have been working hard this year at incorporating more stormwater management ponds into our planting projects.  Check out this story to see the work we did!

Londoners LOVE weekday plantings!  Together with Western's MES Class, and staff from Budweiser Gardens and Orgaworld, we spent an afternoon in the east end of London expanding an existing woodland at Shelborne Park South.

Thank you to LUSO and Fanshawe Residences for bringing an amazing crew of volunteers to the first of two multicultural tree planting events we hosted this fall!

What an amazing group of friendly faces!  Thank you to SLNRC, YMAP, and Old Oak Properties for bringing some serious muscle and planting over 240 trees in this neighbourhood park!  This was the second of two multicultural events ReForest London hosted this fall.  Read the story to learn about more highlights from the day!

It was cold but we were determined!  Thank you to our amazing volunteers who spent their Sunday afternoon with us at Grampian Woods adding over 150 native trees and shrubs to this park near the industrial area of the city.

We were small but mighty!  Together a small group of volunteers braved the wind and the rain and planted over 130 native trees and shrubs at Dingman Park!  Thank you to everyone who was determined to finish despite Mother Nature not being on our side!

Once again, we are so thrilled to work with London's Interfaith Community.  This was our 6th year completing an interfaith planting project in the City.  This team of volunteers worked hard, worked together, and successfully planted just under 400 native trees and shrubs to Halls Mills Park.

During the month of September, ReForest London held two planting events at Cantebury Park to add 415 native trees and shrubs!

Our planting event at Paul Haggis Park on June 9th was a huge success!

Our last planting event of the season went wonderfully! Thank you to everyone who came out for our Spring Planting Season!

Volunteers from Deloitte joined RFL staff Kaitlin and Brad for a fun-filled planting at Southwinds Park! Thank you Deloitte for your hard work planting this baby forest! This project was made possible thanks to funding from the Government of Canada's EcoAction Program and TD Friends of the Environment Foundation.
