Paul Haggis Park Planting - June 9th

Project type:
Park Naturalization

Our planting event at Paul Haggis Park on June 9th was a huge success! It was ideal planting weather: slightly cloudy and not too hot. With the largest turn out of the season of 110 volunteers, we planted all 262 native trees and shrubs in less than 90 minutes!

We exanded on our previous tree planting work in Paul Haggis Park, hoping to increase the play options for children in the future!

We are always so glad to have amazing volunteers willing to put in a little bit of hard work and sweat to make our city just a little bit greener. Our many, many volunteers come from a combinations of volunteer groups, including Citi Cards, TD, Rotary Clubs of London, Libro, Telus, KPMG, and R-traction.

We also had some happy neighbouts join us to plant some trees. One of the neighbours, Ravi Shaw, had this to say about our planting: "We looked out the window and saw the group planting and we were very excited and came to take part!" We are always glad to have happy neighbours near our planting sites, as they will be sure to enjoy the trees in the years to come.

Huge thanks to our funders, the City of London and Great Lakes Guardian, who make it possible for us to do what we do.
