Neighbourhood Tree Depot

Come and get a free tree!

Tree Depots are pop-up stations that offer free trees to anyone who is a resident of London. Since 2015, we have given away free trees in neighbourhoods across London.

It is surprising to learn that 40% of the land in London is controlled by individual residential land owners. ReForest London is working to get more trees onto private residential property and you can help by taking a tree and planting it!

At these events, we offer a variety of species available for selection, and staff and volunteers are always on hand to assist with your selection. Some of the species include; sugar maple, red maple, tulip tree, fruit trees, white oak etc

Residents can take 1-3 trees per household, and must provide their address and email at the Tree Depot. Trees are by donation.

Trees are between 3-7 feet tall and you can find the species list here. Tree selection will vary from depot to depot, on average between 10-15 species will be at each depot.

Have questions about our Tree Depots? Email Brianne Curry, Director of Programs or call 519-936-9548 ex.226 to find out more.

Upcoming Tree Depots:

END OF SEASON BLOWOUT - Tuesday June 30th (7:00 - 9:00pm)

We will have one final, end of season clearout on Tuesday, June 30 from 7-9pm at the ReForest London Office (944 Western Counties Road). These are trees that are leftover due to order cancellations or changes from our preorder system this June.

This depot will be first-come, first served. No pre-orders or reservations permitted.

We have a variety of species (ie. large shade trees, fruit and edible trees) remaining and a total of approximately 100 trees left. Some of the species available are listed below. We may also have a few others if there are additional cancellations!

In some cases there are only 1 or 2 left of a species and may "sell out" quickly. We appreciate your understanding and patience.

DO NOT arrive prior to 6:45pm to line up. We will not be able to assist you until 7pm.

This depot is intended for anyone living in the City of London who haven't been able to get trees from us yet this season. If you have already picked up your 3 trees from us this season, please wait for the next time we offer depots.

These trees are free, though we happily accept cash donations to help us continue offering this program in the future.
