Evergreen Park Naturalization

Project type:
Park Naturalization

On Sunday May 4th 2014, ReForest London volunteers gathered to plant at Evergreen Park where they plant 266 native trees and 148 shrubs. This planting covers an estimated 2300 square meters of naturalized area, improving the ecology of the park and the Forks watershed.

There were over 60 volunteers that afternoon, including members of the River Forks Community Association and students from Western University. Tanya Park (who is now the Ward 13 Councillor) brought her family out for the planting as well.

A special thank you to the RBC Blue Water Project and the Government of Ontario for making this naturalization possible.
