ReForest London Newsletter
Planting trees improves environmentally significant areas, provides habitat for wild life, and cleans the air and water for ourselves and future generations.
The Celebration Forest was established on May 29th, 2011 with a Tree Planting Ceremony. Over 200 family and friends attended and helped to plant over 300 trees for loved ones. It was an emotional and positive event, and many people continue to visit the forest as a living legacy to their living or deceased friends, relatives and pets. We hope that the Celebration Forest becomes a constructive part of the mourning process. Watch Video
Our Trees in Celebration, Trees in Memorial and Trees for Pets programs plant native trees in the new Celebration Forest located behind Parkwood Hospital, next to Westminster Ponds Environmentally Significant Area (ESA) in the city of London, Ontario. View Map

Dedication Forest Signage and online Dedication Registry
To retain the natural beauty of the Celebration Forest, individual trees are not marked or plaqued in any way. Names of all recipients will be listed on our Celebration Forest signage during the planting year, and listed perpetually on our website on the Dedication Registry.
What types of trees will be planted?
ReForest London has developed a native tree species list, but not limited to plants currently present and appropriate for the habitats surrounding the woodland at Westminster Ponds.

As the Forest Grows
A quiet mulched path will follow the growth of the Celebration Forest, and there are an additional 11 kilometres of trails in the mature woodlands of the adjacent Westminster Ponds ESA.
The Celebration Forest is a partnership with ReForest London, the London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) and St Joseph's Health Care (SJHC) and other partners with interests in Westminster Ponds lands. The health care organizations have pledged this land as part of their ongoing commitment to the health of southwestern Ontario's people and environment.
Come visit the Celebration Forest and over time watch your tree and the forest grow as a living legacy.
The Celebration Forest is located behind Parkwood Hospital and can be accessed by car, bike or foot on Western Counties Road. The London Transit bus #6 terminates at Parkwood Hospital, and is about a 1 kilometer walk to the Celebration Forest entrance.
